Post-doc Post-doc position in Applied Computer Vision
Job Description
A 1.5-year full-time Post-doc position is open at Department of Engineering, Aarhus University in Denmark from 1 August 2013 or shortly after.
The candidate will mainly be involved in the development of a computer vision-based monitoring system for bee-hives, as part of a larger monitoring and alerting system. The research will focus on real-time algorithms for tracking, but constrained to small embedded systems as well as systems design. The candidate will participate in building the complete prototype computer vision system as well as integrating it with other sensor systems (such as temperature and audio), that our European partners will build as part of an EU project.
The candidate is expected to have obtained a PhD degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning or a related area. The candidate should preferably have previous experience with embedded systems, real-time programming and basic electronics. Good English language skills are necessary to be able to participate in our Computer Vision group as well as cooperate with our European partners.
